      ]. The greatest number of respondents were from The Netherlands (71%) and thus, most of the results reflect Dutch practice patterns. Or, more accurately, it reflects the practice patterns that are immediately recalled upon filling out the survey, since 82% report treating fewer than 5 cases in the past year. Although the authors found that most responders adhere to EAU guidelines, a sizable proportion (23%) do not pursue emergency surgery, nor do they perform fixation of the testis, despite the published and accessible recommendations of the panel.
